The Downtown and Zamalek districts of Cairo are where visitors can discover "Paris along the Nile," an area of the city that has been largely influenced by European architecture.

Egypt Weather

Due to its desert location, temperatures in Egypt tend to be very high during the daylight hours, however, there is little humidity, making the hot air manageable and still pleasant for tourists. In Egypt, the summer months are June until August and the winter months run from December to February. Although there is never a bad time to visit the country, the summer months tend to be the low season, making for better travel deals and fewer crowds.

Egypt Currency

Local currency in Egypt is the Egyptian Pound, which is made up of 100 piastres. When changing money at currency exchange kiosks, banks, hotels, airports etc try to obtain Egyptian Pounds in small rather than large notes, as change is for very large notes is not always easily available.
